Have you ever gone into the Columbia County library and noticed all the beautiful art displays? I recently discovered that if you are an artist or know an artist, they can display artwork in the main library or at the Euchee Creek location.
All you need to do is email Cyndy Epps at the library to schedule the month and the library location you prefer. Also, you may pick the position on the wall or case to reserve your work. You do have the option of picking a back up month in case the month you've requested has already been reserved. In the course of a year you may only display once, however. The library has a policy of only displaying tasteful and appropriate art work in the facility. They allow pottery, sculpture, paintings and photographs. Not only can you display BUT you may also include your contact information on your card to include prices for your pieces. The library is not involved in any way in any sales transaction.
If you visit the Columbia County location at 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd, be sure to also take advantage of the beautiful recreation area around the pond. Recently expanded, you can enjoy a walk or run around the paved path, watch your children slide and swing on the two playgrounds, have a picnic on one of the many tables available or during warm weather enjoy the water fountains. Don't forget the towels!
